Acer launched Predator Z850 gaming projector that costs US$5,000 in April last year and the world went in uproar, at CES, the company has again unfold a breathtaking high-cost gaming laptop under its “Predator” portfolio named Predator 21 X. This beast is powered by Intel latest 7th-Gen Core i7-7820HK (Kaby Lake) processor (8MB cache) with a clock speed of 2.90GHz that can turbo-boost up to 3.90GHz, slammed with two Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI.
To keep excessive heats that are likely to be generated during heavy workload as minimal as possible, the laptop heat system is regulated with five integrated fans and nine heat pipes, all of which can be seen underneath. Acer proprietary dust defender also prevent dusts from accumulating in the system inner chamber. The Predator 21 X comes with a full-size mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches, and each programmable keys backlit lighting can be fine-tune to shine in the dark with up to 16.7 millions colour options available to choose from.

PredatorSense software pre-loaded further gives users the ability to control and regulate fan speed, overclock/underclock the CPU, and changes the lighting effects. The laptop features a 21-inch IPS curved display with 2560×1080 pixel resolution, enhanced with Tobii eye-tracking technology. The display also supports Nvidia G-Sync.
Running Windows 10 out-of-the-box, the Predator 21 X webcam supports Windows Hello facial recognition for password-free login. For extreme loud and deep bass audio during gameplay, it comes equipped with four speakers and two subwoofers. Other features includes Thunderbolt 3 ports with up to 40Gbps data transfer speed and Xsplit Gamecaster for recording and editing live videos.
The Acer Predator 21 X will be available at a price of US$8,999 in North America and US$9,999 in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) regions. It will start shipping from February.
