Archos 50d Oxygen with 5″ FHD Display, 64-bit Chipset Announced

Archos has officially launched 50d Oxygen, its latest mid-budget 4G-enabled smartphone. The french phone maker takes the wraps-off the new device earlier today. It is priced at €129 ($145 USD) and is expected to be showcase at MWC later this month where its availability will be announce.

The Archos 50d Oxygen takes some of its specifications from 50d Helium released by the company in July last year. It features a 5-inch IPS display with a full-HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.

It includes a 16GB of built-in storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card. The 50d Oxygen runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM functionality with support of 4G LTE. Sitting at the back is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera sits at the front.

Connectivity options included besides LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is turn on by 2,100mAh battery.
