Finally, it’s now Asus turn to show they have something great for their fans. The firm has unwrapped two new high budget Android smartphones, the long awaited ZenFone 2 and photocentric ZenFone Zoom. The smartphones (16GB version) are priced at $199 USD (approximately #37,000 NGN) and $399 USD (approximately #73,500 NGN) respectively and will go on sale in Q2 2015.

The smartphone features 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It support dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and runs Google latest Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box overlayed with the firm custom ZenUI.
The Asus ZenFone 2 comes in variants – 4GB RAM version and 2GB RAM version, both packs 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor with a clock speed of 2.3GHz. Users have the choice to choose between 16GB/32GB/64GB built-in storage all of which is expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD card.
The device support 4G LTE Cat.4 which can render a download speed of up to 150Mbps and packs a 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology, the phone can boost up to 60% in 40 minutes. The ZenFone 2 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual-tone twin LED flash while it also houses a 5-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options include Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, OTG, GPS/A-GPS, and NFC.
It will be available in different colours; Ceramic White, Sheer Gold, Glamour Red, Glacier Grey and Osmium Black.
Asus ZenFone Zoom Specifications
The Asus ZenFone Zoom also features a 5.5-inch full-HD display and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS topped with ZenUI. It support dual-SIM and packs a 64-bit 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM

The highlight of the device is its 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.7 aperture, 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization and dual toned LED flash, the firm claims that ZenFone is the world’s thinnest phone at 11.95mm to packs 3x optical and 12x zoom-in effect. Other specifications include 5-megapixel front camera, 4G LTE and 3000mAh battery.
