Asus has officially announced ZenFone Max Pro M1 in India, the company newest addition to its ZenFone line-up with large battery, efficient Snapdragon processor and dual rear camera. The new smartphone is here to replace its predecessor, the ZenFone Max Plus M1.
Running pure Android 8.1 Oreo mobile OS, the device features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160p) curved 18:9 display with 450 nits of brightness and comes packed with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with up to 4GB of RAM coupled along. The dual rear camera configuration is 13MP+5MP with PDAF handling the focusing system. At the front is an 8MP selfie camera with face unlock security baked inside.

The ZenFone Max Pro M1 has a dedicated dual SIM tray at the side with a MicroSD slot that can accept two SIMs at a time and a MicroSD card. It sports a fingerprint sensor at the back and it is fuelled by a 5000mAh battery with fast charging supports (10W charger).

The phone is wrapped in a metal unibody painted in Deepsea Black and Gray colors. The 3GB RAM+32GB storage version is priced at Rs 10,999 ($165), while the 4GB RAM+64GB storage version is priced at Rs 12,999 ($195). It will go on sale exclusively on FlipKart from May 3rd.
During the announcement, Asus said it will be launching the 6GB RAM model of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 with a better 16MP+5MP dual rear camera and a 16MP front camera. The company, however, does not mention the exact date it plan to launch the phone.
