Ahead of the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show (CES) that is scheduled to begin in the first week of January 2019, LG today has announced a new compact laser projector that is capable of beaming 4K images on the wall, ceiling, floor or any hard smooth surface, the Cinebeam Laser 4K (HU85L).
The new Cinebeam HU85L is the successor of the HU80K model and in this regard bring some positive changes in specs and features. The projector when placed 2-inch from the wall can project 90-inch bright 4K images, while it can beam 120-inch bright images on the wall when placed at a distance of 7-inch from the wall, thanks to its Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology.

Its compact form makes it fit the least amount of space in the living room or bedroom. Moreover, projected images have high-level of brightness and contrast, wide color gamut, and deep black level. According to LG, the Cinebeam HU85L can deliver 2,500 ANSI lumens and 4K UHD resolution. The connectivity area is not lacking either – there are HDMI, USB, and Ethernet ports onboard for streaming media contents from external devices.
Furthermore, the new laser projector now boasts of LG’s proprietary ThinQ AI technology, which enables users to use voice commands to access the natural language processing capabilities of LG’s AI solution. The accompanied Magic Remote will let users operate the projector by using its voice command functionality powered by ThinQ. The Magic Remote also supports gesture and the buttons are backlit.
LG will be showcasing the Cinebeam 4K Laser Projector at the CES 2019 in Las Vegas from January 8th, 2019.
