The Computex 2016 has finally kicked off in Taiwan. Making the first visible appearance on stage is the Taiwanese firm, Asus. As expected, the company has announced its next-generation Zen laptop, Zenbook 3. In our own observation, Asus seems to have pursue Apple and have try as much as possible to make something notably different from other Zen laptops it had released in the past. When we say Apple, we mean the latest Macbooks.
First of all, the elegance and its ultra-thin aerospace-grade aluminium body is enough to convince anyone how premium the laptop is. Weighing just 910 grams, which is quite lighter when compared to the Macbooks, the Zenbook 3 is claimed by Asus to be much stronger than most standard aluminium-made laptops out there.

In thickness, the device measure just 11.9mm at the chassis, which is not something you see everyday. It features a 12.5-inch touchscreen display protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The exact resolution is not mentioned, but we expect nothing less than full-HD (1080p). Driving it on the inside is an Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM clocked at 2133MHz, and up to 1TB PCle gen 3 of SSD.
The Zenbook 3 runs Windows 10 out-of-the-box and boasts of a built-in fingerprint sensor that works with Windows Hello for one-touch access in locking and unlocking the device without password input. It has a USB Type-C port along with other common connectivity options such as Bluetooth, WiFi and HDMI. Battery planted inside is said to last up to 9 hours in a single charge. Fast charging onboard gets the laptop up to 60% with just 49 minutes of charge.
The Asus Zenbook 3 comes in three different colours, Rose Gold, Quartz Grey, and Royal Blue. It will be available sometime in June at a starting price of $999 USD.
