The Taiwanese tech giant, Asus, today has launched a new offspring of its VivoBook laptop dubbed VivoBook 4K. The device availablity and pricing details are yet to be announce by the company.
As its name suggest, the laptop features a 4K Ultra-HD (3840 X 2160 pixels) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, flaunting a pixel density of 282ppi, which is further enhanced by the company’s own EYE Care technology that reduces blue light level by 33%. It comes in different configurations with the basic model packing a 5th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB DDR3L RAM, and 500GB HDD.

A 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor model will also be available with up to 12GB of DDR3L RAM, up to 2TB HDD or 256GB SDD, and up to Nvidia GeForce 940M GPU with 2GB DDR3 VRAM dedicated GPU. The VivoBook 4K runs Windows 10 and comes equipped with Super-Multi DVD player.
Connectivity options provided are 2x USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 port, VGA port, HDMI port, 3-in-1 card reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC), and LAN RJ45 jack. The laptop has a front-facing VGA camera and packed dual 2W stereo speakers. It is powered by a 2-cell 37Whr Li-Polymer battery.
Asus did not reveal the exact screen size of its VivoBook 4K laptop.
