The French mobile company Archos, which was known to have launch the first Android powered laptop, has launched a new Android tablet in the UK, the 80 Helium 4G. The tablet which Archos says is the cheapest of its kind is priced at £200 and can be purchase via the company’s online store and at retailer outlets in the U.K.
The Archos 80 Helium 4G features an 8-inch IPS display with a HD resolution. The tablet offers 4G LTE connectivity that is capable of rendering up to 150Mbps. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, slammed with 1GB of RAM.
The new Archos tablet runs the dated Android 4.2 Jelly bean, and comes with 4GB of built-in storage which is expandable via MicroSD. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera, and there’s a VGA secondary front camera onboard. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi with Hotspot, GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. It packs a 3000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 178 hours on standby.
