Along with its new ZenBook device, Asus at the ongoing Computex 2017 event in Taipei also announced two new laptops under its “VivoBook” line-up, namely VivoBook S15 (S510) and VivoBook Pro 15 (N580).
The first features a 15.6-inch full-HD (1080p) NanoEdge display that flaunts a superb 80-percent screen-to-body ratio, a reality that is made manifest with its nearly bezel-less side of 7.8mm in diameter. It is clad in a metal-like plastic body with 17.9mm thickness and 1.5kg weight, painted in Icicle Gold color.

Asus is offering the VivoBook S15 (S510) in different processor variants, ranging from 7th-gen Core i3 to Core i7, paired with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD or up to 2TB of HDD storage. NVIDIA GeForce 940MX handle graphics while 64-bit Windows 10 Home governs all software activities.
It has a fingerprint sensor that supports Windows Hello for one-touch login; USB Type-C, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, MicroSD card reader, and 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity, while a webcam sits on the top bezel for selfie and video-calling.
On the other hand, the VivoBook Pro 15 (N580) is slightly thicker at 19.2mm and heavier at 2.2kg, fully clad in metal, but this features a 15.6-inch NanoEdge multi-touch display with up to 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution with 100% sRGB color gamut, designed to work with Asus Stylus pen. The side bezel is noticeable and is not as slim as that of VivoBook S15.
Under the hood, it is powered a 7th-gen quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, slammed with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 512GB of PCIe SSD or 2TB of HDD, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. Asus is also offering Core i5 variants.
The laptop packs two speakers that are Harman Kardon certified along with smart amplifier. Just like others released earlier today, the VivoBook Pro 15 (N580) is accompanied with a fingerprint sensor that supports one-touch login access via Windows Hello.
The VivoBook S15 price starts at US$499 and the VivoBook Pro 15 at US$799. Both will be available in summer.
